COMMUNICATION TASKS FOR GSAT LAB.

Welcome to the Communication Tasks for GSAT Writing Lab! This writing lab uses computer-supported activities to encourage student progress in each stage of the writing process, from organizing to editing. The lab focuses on three key components — writing process instruction, computer supports, and inclusive practices — the activities are taken from the Communication Tasks Series by Dr. Shawn Johnson. The Communication Tasks Series emphasizes the process of writing with practical, hands-on activities for each of the following writing traits: Ideas and Content, Word Choice, Fluency, Voice, Organization, Conversations, and Presentation. The series also targets grade level skills from the language arts curriculum, focusing on capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and language usage.
